He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Coleman and Lucille Williams Coleman; his son Tony Coleman; his granddaughter Brittany Coleman; and his brothers, Frank Coleman, Clarence Coleman, Reverend George Coleman, Paul Coleman and John Coleman, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Coleman of Swainsboro; his children, Gloria McGee (Johnny) of Garfield, Pamela Newkirk (McKenzie) of Metter, Larry Coleman of Swainsboro, Terry Andrews (Tressy) of Swainsboro, Randy Coleman of Swainsboro and Charles Ford of Swainsboro; and his siblings, Arthur Coleman (Shirley) of Swainsboro, Geraldine Allen (Bobby) of Swainsboro and Alice Foots of Swainsboro. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
