He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Barney and Loree Hammock Sweat; his son-in-law Mark Smith; and his siblings, Willie Sweat, Herman Sweat, Marie H. Hammock and Burma S. Pacetti.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Everett Sweat of Swainsboro; his daughter Shelli Sweat Smith of Kite; his grandchildren, Jakob D. Smith, Alivia Smith, Graci-Rae Smith, Blair Whitfield Heaton, Travis Heaton and Blake Whitfield; his great grandchild Whitley Heaton; his niece Linda Whitfield of Stillmore; and his siblings, Kenneth Sweat (Marilyn) of Wrightsville, Wain Sweat of Wrightsville, Wilhelmina S. Walden (Billy) of Swainsboro, Claudette S. Brown (Cleon) of Swainsboro and Shirley S. Underwood of Swainsboro. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
