With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rollie Kirkland Jr. (Swainsboro, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rollie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie Kirkland, Sr. and Emma Edison; his wife Ruthie Mae Parrish Kirkland; his daughter Liza Kirkland; his grandson Alex Kirkland; and his sisters, Cara Lee Watson and Eliza Kirkland.
He is survived by: his children, Emma Jean Butler (Jake) of Swainsboro, Annie Ruth Kirkland (Pete) of Oak Park, Frankie Mae Kirkland (Gary) of Millen, Lillie Bell Kirkland (Mitchell) of Swainsboro, Georgia and Josephine Kirkland of Swainsboro, Georgia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
