He is survived by: his daughter Betty Jo Reese (Ben Brewer) of Adrian; his siblings, Jimmy Carter (Joyce) of Virginia, Rodney Carter of Virginia, Steve Carter of Virginia, Faye Garza (David) of Virginia and Tammy Thomas of Virginia; his grandchildren, Wes Johnson (Kristie) of Adrian and Wade Reese of Adrian; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Johnson and Kaden Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
