We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2024, at the age of 81, Mary Louise Odom of Swainsboro, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Luther Marsh and Ollie Hudson Thompson; her husband Jimmy Odom; her daughter Meloney Wilkes; her grandson Michael Holley; and her siblings, Katherine Moore, Marie Hillman, Eva Durden and William Marsh.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Howard (Jamie) of Augusta, William Weeks (Angela) of Port Bolivar, TX, Buddy Tapley (Dottie) of Winnie, TX, Vicky Howard of Augusta, Selina Vaugh of Dotham, AL and Joy Renew of Vidalia; and her brothers, Jimmy Marsh of Swainsboro and Henry Thompson (Deborah) of Swainsboro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (11 Trout Trail, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
