It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Johnson (Swainsboro, Georgia), born in Garfield, Georgia, who passed away on January 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Sr. Thompson and Bertie Mae Collins Thompson; her husband B. L. Johnson; and her siblings, Dorothy Thompson, Rufus Thompson Jr., Cecil Thompson and Carl Edward Thompson.
She is survived by: her sons, Rex Johnson (Renee) of Swainsboro, GA, Sheldon Johnson of Garfield, GA and Jody Johnson; and her siblings, Annie Lou McCormick of Summerville, GA. and James Earl Thompson. She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews and Extended Family.
