She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Portwood and Mary Dell Sowell Portwood; her husband James Allen Peavy; and her sister Wanda Childers. She is survived by: her daughters, Leigh Ann Everett (Richard) of Ballground, Jamie Elizabeth Peavy of Ballgound and Mary Radford (Charles) of Swainsboro; and her siblings, Dennis Portwood (Ann) of Milledgeville, Richard Portwood of Canoochee and Madeline Portwood of Canoochee. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pruitt Cares Foundation at 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro, Ga 30401.
