It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hooks of Swainsboro, Georgia, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Hooks and Burnell Fordham Hooks; his granddaughter Taylor Hooks; and his sister Connie Oglesby. He is survived by: his wife Mickey Hooks of Swainsboro; his children, Shawn Hooks (Brook) of Swainsboro and Tabatha Downer (Ray) of Swainsboro; his siblings, Ronnie Hooks of Tampa, FL, Hazel Harris of Mobile, AL and Vickie Gay of Swainsboro; and his grandchildren, Jarrod Downer (Susannah), Jada Downer, Chase Hooks, Makayla Clifton, Charla Clifton and William Tate Hooks. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
