It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joellyn Green of Swainsboro, Georgia, born in Kite, Georgia, who passed away on November 11, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lee Davis and Mary Lelia Hoover Davis; her husbands, Bullard Greenway and David Green; her brothers, Melvin Davis and Arnold Davis; and her son-in-law Alton Claxton.
She is survived by: her children, Ronny Greenway of Kite, Gloria Claxton of Kite and Stefanie Tomlin (Grant) of Cedar Mountain, NC; her grandchildren, Dru Peebles (Steve), Ron Smith (Mikel), Karen Greenway, Kyler Tomlin and Sydney Tomlin; her great grandchildren, Dustin Peebles, Chris Peebles (Colleen), Emma Kate Peebles, Anna Claxton, Amanda Claxton, Cameron Claxton, Katie Smith and Ryan Smith; her great great grandchild Andrew Monroe Peebles; and her niece Bonnie Wilcoxson (Phil). She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, 1036 Minton Chapel Road, Kite, GA 31049.
