She was predeceased by: her parents, Carvie Claxton, Sr. and Thelma Alma Claxton Gregory; and her siblings, Jeanine Summers and Carvie "Buddy" Claxton, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Randall Martin Scarboro, Sr. of Swainsboro; her children, Randall Scarboro, Jr. (Jennifer) of Smyrna, Stacie Scarboro-Youmans (Brandon) of Silverlake, OR and Annie Hammrick (Allen) of Utah; her siblings, Glen Claxton of Bethonia, Mary Wilson of Kingsland, Patricia Radford of Augusta and Linda Scarboro of Swainsboro; and her grandchildren, Daisy Youmans and Kaleb Youmans. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors (206 E Pine St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (11 Trout Trail, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
