She was predeceased by: her mother Bernie Dell Norwood; and her brother Joe Willie Norwood. She is survived by: her father Romanis Norwood; her husband James Dawson; her daughters, Kerrith Norwood and Shannon Norwood; her grandson Logan Norwood; and her siblings, Dorothy McKelvin, Tommy Norwood (Doris), Charles Norwood, Eddie Sampson (Jacquelyn) and Jimmy Sampson (Vivian).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mosley's Funeral Home Chapel (342 N Coleman St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (311 McLendon St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
