She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Curl and Bessie Tant Curl; her husband David Newsome; and her siblings, Henry Curl, Jerry Curl, Ellen Jeter and Wylene Curl.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Newsome (Missy) of Kite and Melissa Cowart (Miley) of Claxton; her sisters, Eloise Trull (Billy) of Swainsboro, Deborah Alford (Jody Logan) of Swainsboro and Cherry Allen of Swainsboro; her grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Ashley), Lauren Kerbo (John), Lindsey Akins and Dayne Cowart (Katie); and her great grandchildren, Millie Smith, Ace Smith, Ellie Smith and Elizabeth Kerbo. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
