David Lamar Beecher Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lamar Beecher in Swainsboro, Georgia, who passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fate Beecher and Sarah Beecher (Strange); and his brothers, Fate Beecher, Jr., Jennings Beecher and Robert Beecher.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Davis Becher; his grandchildren, Davis, Jonathan, Lily Jane, Ashton, Braden, Madison, Hudson and Sarah Beth; and also, Carolyn Snead, Brenda Smith and Theresa Evans. He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home (718 S Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). The lying in state was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Olney Primitive Baptist Church (100-114 Thompson St, Lyons, GA 30436). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In addition to flower memorials, donations may be made in Mr. Beecher's memory to Olney Primitive Baptist Church, P. O. Box 552, Vidalia, Georgia 30475.
