With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Way of Swainsboro, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lois Lee Braswell and Fannie Love Braswell; her former husband Earl Hughes; her son Ken Way; her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Barwick, Glenda Faye Moxley, Jimmy Braswell, Johnny Braswell and Billy Braswell; and her grandson Chad Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Way of Swainsboro; her children, Randy Hughes (Becky) of Swainsboro, Steve Hughes (Molly) of Orangeburg, SC, Jay Hughes (Cynthia) of Swainsboro, Ashley Way (Kimmi) of Adel, Carol Buck (Michael) of Savannah and Rebecca Kight (Davy) of Kite; and her siblings, Remer Braswell (Ida Carolyn) of Dothan, AL., Don Braswell (Lisa) of Laurens, SC, Sandra Whitfield of Twin City and Gail Rowland of Swainsboro. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
