Bobbie Jean Soles Obituary
Mrs. Bobbie Jean Soles, age 86 of Scott, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2023 at the Emanuel County Assisted Living Center in Swainsboro, GA.
Born in Johnson County, she was one of ten children born to the late Eustis Fulford and Annie Myrtle Anderson Fulford. She attended Kite High School where she was a member of the graduating Class of 1955. At the age of seventeen she went to work in the pants factory as a Machine Operator. She continued working in the textile industry, at Apparel Brand and Bill Jos, until retiring in 1998.
She enjoyed fishing, time spent with her large family and flower gardening.
Mrs. Soles has been a longtime member of the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty eight years, Virgil Soles, who passed away in 2018 and siblings, Mable Knight, Nell Ward, Wayne Fulford, Faye Scott, Ruth Josey and Sandra Fulford.
Miss Bobbie Jean leaves behind, children: Ann Hood (Robert), Kite, GA, Connie Carter (Carl), Wrightsville, GA, Greg Soles, Scott, GA, Randy Soles, Scott, GA, Roger Soles, Scott, GA, a brother, Billy Fulford, Wrightsville, GA, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with Rev. L. T. Logue, Pastor Tommy Henry and Pastor Curtis Koscheski officiating.
Mrs. Soles will be laid to rest beside her husband in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service or friends and family may call at the residence of Carl and Connie Carter.
Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael Hood, Joey Hood, Kevin Hood, Tyler Hood, Gavin Hood and Tim Lee.
Serving as Honorary Escorts will be her caregivers from Emanuel County Assisted Living who treated her with love and compassion during her stay with them: Carmen Tanner, John Wilder Page, Stormy Clements, Latrail Sheffield, Lashaunda Frazier, Tarnea Brown and Shirley Bady.
