It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Purvis of Swainsboro, Georgia, born in Wadley, Georgia, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Purvis and Bonnie Roberts Purvis; his son Tony Purvis; and his siblings, Marvin Purvis, Clark Purvis, Tanny Purvis, Sam Purvis, Jr., Thomas Purvis and Faye Goins.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry Purvis (Doris) of Wadley, Gary Purvis of Swainsboro and Charles Purvis of Swainsboro; and his sister Willie Julie Tapley of Wrightsville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
