With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billy Hermon Braswell of Swainsboro, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 17, 2024 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Lee Braswell and Fannie Love Braswell; his wife Ann Geiger Braswell; his son Bobby Braswell; and his siblings, Glenda Moxley, Mary Elizabeth Barwick, Jimmy Braswell and Johnny Braswell.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Mashburn of Swainsboro, Tonya Coleman of Swainsboro, Kenneth Braswell (Jean) of Adrian and Charles Braswell (Sebrena) of Colbert; and his siblings, Remer Braswell (Carolyn) of Dothan, AL, Donald Braswell (Lisa) of Irmo, SC, Carolyn Way (Wayne) of Swainsboro, Sandra Whitfield of Twin City and Gail Rowland of Swainsboro. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
