It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benny Earl Williamson (Swainsboro, Georgia), who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dover Williamson and Mildred Sherrod Williamson; his wife Helen Canady Williamson; his son Benny Earl Williamson, Jr.; his siblings, William Dover Williamson, II of Vidalia, Mark Williamson of Louisville and Mildred "Sue" Canady of Midville; his siblings-in-law, Bill Irby of Grand Blanc, MI and Melvadean Williamson of Vidalia; and his nephew Andrew Irby of Hickory, NC..
He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Irby of Grand Blanc, MI. and Martha Sumner of Grand Blanc, MI.; and his stepdaughters, Wendy Suggs Greene (Junior) of Harlem and Becky Brown (Lawson) of Midville. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, several step grandchildren and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
