He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennett, Sr. Caraway and Frances Hall Caraway; his wife Ruby Headrick Caraway; his sons, Hunter Caraway and James Caraway; and his siblings, Mamie Steptoe and Harvey Caraway.

He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Anthony Caraway (Libby) of Swainsboro, GA and Darrell Lee Caraway (Michelle) of Kite, GA.; his siblings, Mattie Bell Mason of Swainsboro, GA., Christine Durden of Swainsboro, GA. and Ben Caraway of Dublin, GA.; and his grandchildren, Ben Caraway, Clay Caraway, Cody Caraway, Brandon Oglesby, Austin Oglesby, Alexa Caraway, Emerson Franklin and Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
