She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chastain and Agnes Chastain; her brother Jerry Chastain; and her husband Carl Goolsby, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Carl Goolsby Jr. (Ivy), Gina Goolsby Sorrells (Steve), Jonathan Goolsby (Ellen), Suzanne Goolsby DeWitt (Ashley) and Julie Goolsby Tompkins (Stan); her grandchildren, Olivia Goolsby (Scott Becker), Bethany DeWitt Duron (Garret), Alexander Goolsby, Brynn DeWitt Eidson (Samuel), Laura Goolsby Denard (Noah), Savannah Tompkins, David Goolsby, Anna Grace Sorrells, Bella Spencer, Abigail Sorrells, Emma Goolsby, Dakota Tompkins, Ian Spencer and Gabe Spencer; her great grandchildren, Rennick Duron, Eleanor Becker, Adeline Duron and Evelyn Becker; and her sister Charlene Chastain Henderson (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Gideons International at Gideons International/Donate.
