She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. McCorkle and Mary Louise McCorkle; and her husband Bob Dodson. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan (Eric Shewbridge) and Debi Chapman; her son-in-law King Chapman; her grandchildren, Ashley (Matt Hartsock), Brigitte Shewbridge, Joshua (Tennile Chapman), Daniel (Grace Shewbridge), Keeley (Austin Jenkins) and Preston Shewbridge; her brother David (Connie McCorkle); her great grandchildren, Ramsay Hartsock, Evelyn Hartsock, Fiona Jenkins, Charli Howell, Penny Jenkins, Bram Shewbridge, Donovan Hartsock and Taytum Shewbridge; her nephews, Ken McCorkle (Holly) and Wesley McCorkle (Christi); her niece Jill Vahl (Kevin); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex Vahl, Troy Vahl, Kendall McCorkle and Carsen McCorkle. She is also survived by extended family and close friends.
