He was predeceased by: his son Scott Carl Wheeler; his parents, James Wheeler and Dorothy Wheeler; his stepparents, George and June Rape; his siblings, Raymond Wheeler and Jeanette Medlock; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Pat Azar.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Azar Wheeler (Pat); his siblings-in-law, Joan Caviness and Nick Azar (Patty); his great grandchildren, Jimmy Jr. Wheeler (Angie), Aundrea Allen Wright, Drew (Heather), Allen and Madison Wheeler; and his grandchildren, Todd Wheeler (Kim), Morgan (Matt), Smith, Colby (Dale), Ellis, Brooke McCorkle (Spencer), Nora Schneider, Scott Wheeler (Kim), Ashleigh (Matt), MacAskill, Andy O'Reilly, Sadie Wheeler (Scottie), Sheri Palmer (John) and Alex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
