She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeptha Isaiah and Willie Bell Huff McNair; and her husband Edward Eugene Brooks, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Denise Avon (Mike), Nondi Chappell (John) and Edward E. Brooks Jr. (Kimberly); and her sister-in-law J. I. (JoAnn McNair). She is also survived by grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brother.
In lieu of flowers Evelyn's specific request was that contributions be made to the Johns Creek Baptist Church building fund.
