She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Lamar Thompson and Stella Mae Alligood; her husband Douglas Keith Smith; her grandson Christopher Keithon Oates; and her sister Joyce Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Grant (Obbie), Pebbles Smith, Brandon James Alligood and Bryant Ray Alligood (Brittany); her grandchildren, Rebecca Robertson, Massey Franks, Michaela Harris, Sierra Harris and Sianna Harris; and her great grandchildren, Jaylen Toles and Aubriella Sand. She is also survived by eleven siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
