He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith, Sr. and Bessie Nicholson Smith; his wife Jeraline Shropshire Smith; his daughter Myra Smith; his siblings, Lorene Cothran, Ernestine Brand, Juanita Smith, Eloise Moss, Franklin Smith, Jr., Billy "Connie" Smith, Sr. and Joseph C. Smith; and his granddaughter Adaiah Ludy.
He is survived by: his children, Coby Smith, Dayra Ludy, Tracy Perry and Daphne Willett (Tommy); his siblings, Charlotte Silmon and Booker T. Smith; and his niece Sandra Johnson (James). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
