He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Portwood and Billie Ruth Moore Portwood; his wife Jean Earby Portwood; his son Ricky Lebron Portwood; and his brother Bobby Portwood.
He is survived by: his son Troy Portwood of LaFayette, GA; his brothers, Travis Portwood of Mentone, GA and Billy Ray Portwood of Geraldine, AL; his grandchildren, Tessa Portwood, Erin Alves and Kaitlin Portwood; and his great grandchildren, Brantley McGill, Avaree Alves and Roderick Grant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
