She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas S. Pettyjohn and Louise Greene Pettyjohn; her husband John Sterner; her children, Alanna J. Sterner and Mason D. Sterner; her aunt Linda Greene; her cousins, Cecila, Craig Holt and Susan Brooks; and her close friends, Ken, Carol Fries and Ann McCollum.
