We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Nena Colbert of Summerville, Georgia, born in Lyerly, Georgia. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Johnson and Lelia Mae Morrison Johnson; her children, Tina Marie Colbert and Charles Edward "Eddie" Colbert, Jr.; and her siblings, Roy "Sunny", Deed, Robert Martin, Virginia Gardner and Beatrice DeBord.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Edward "Buddy" Colbert, Sr.; her daughter Kathy Day (Terry); her sister Susie Forbes; and her daughter-in-law Melissa Colbert. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be private for immediate family. The Colbert family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
