He is survived by: his mother Peggy Ann Latta Mitchell; his wife Sherry Elrod Mitchell; his children, Collin Cooper (Autumn), William Mitchell, Allie Mitchell and Haedyn Mobbs (Zac); his brothers, Jamie Mitchell (Tammy) and Jason Mitchell (Misty); his siblings-in-law, Cleta Farrow, Becky Elrod and Nathaniel McNeese (Tammy); his mother-in-law Betty McNeese; and his grandchildren, Zion Mobbs, Ella Mobbs and Torin Mobbs.
