It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Shankles (Summerville, Georgia), who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Shankles, Sr. and Ozella Mae Culver Shankles. He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy L. "Dot" Shankles; his daughters, Jeanne Shankles and Jamie Shankles; his grandson Kevin Hammitt (LeAnn); and his great grandchildren, Lily Hammitt, Chandler Hammitt and Makenna Lopez.
The family of Mr. Shankles, and the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, reminds anyone that plans to attend the services, to please follow the CDC guidelines as it pertains to social distancing and social gatherings.
