He was predeceased by: his parents, Phi Burnett Shamblin and Bonnie Marguerite Tate Shamblin; his wife Bobbie Jo Cothran Shamblin; and his siblings, Hazel Reece and Hugh Shamblin.
He is survived by: his son Mark Shamblin (Robin); and his grandchildren, Sierra Bonilla (Ruben) and Hamilton Shamblin. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
