He is survived by: his parent Mary Josephine Henderson Ratliff; his wife Shirley Watkins Ratliff; his son John Gaines Ratliff; his stepsons, Tracy Thrasher, Sherry Thrasher and Stacy Thrasher; his brother Jeff Ratliff; his close friends, Phil Hall and David Cabe; and also, Elaine Ratliff, Karen Hoeninghausen and Rick Hoeninghausen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
