He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Margaret Louella Tapp Pierce; his wife Brenda Sue Timmons Pierce; his siblings, Avery Talley Pierce, James E. Pierce, Elmer Pierce, William Pierce and Elsie Nixon; and his granddaughter Michelle Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Isaiah Pierce, Amanda Pierce, Brenda Franklin (James), Lynn Collins (Jimmy), Mary York (Tim), Amy Robinson and Miguel Massey Pierce; his siblings, Carl Pierce (Peggy) and Pat Littlejohn (Marlin); and his son-in-law Donnie Hudson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
