With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Bennett of Summerville, Georgia, born in Demorest, Georgia, who passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Chapman and June Wiggins Chapman Hicks; her husband Lathan Bennett; her former husband Willie Joe McGraw; her stepfather Raymond Hicks; and her grandparents, Oscar, Clara Wiggins, Will and Minnie Chapman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy (Jeff Bennett) and Terri (Ricky Jones); her grandchildren, Beth (Casey Howard), Dustin (Jennifer Jones) and B. J. (Ashley Hall); her great grandchildren, Emma Howard, Ben Howard, Rylan Jones, Emery Jones and Mayson Jones; her brother Max; her sister-in-law Beverly Chapman of Terrell, Texas; and her nephews, Ray Chapman and Steven Chapman.
