He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hood and Frances McConnell Hood; and his sister Doris. He is survived by: his wife Carol Conley; his children, Marcia Thompson (Will), Chip Hood (Beth) and Michael Dawson (Laura); his siblings, Mary Mac Payton, Carolyn Thomas (Ron), Bobby Hood (Jackie) and Dale Hood (Mary); his grandchildren, Laurie Thompson, Leslie Tucker (Braden), Linzie Thompson, Noah Hood, Braden Hood, Katelyn Hood and Victoria Springer (Ray); and his great grandchildren, Braxton Tucker, Elijah and Alice Springer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
