He was predeceased by: his parents, Deforest Pierce and Mary Ruth Colbert Bailey; and his siblings, Ann Posey, Jean Miller and Robert Pierce.

He is survived by: his wife Lenell Pierce; his daughter April; his son-in-law John Stanley; his son Randall; his daughter-in-law Loretta Pierce; his grandchildren, Scott Bowman (Liz), Josh Stanley, Jarrett Pierce and Jansen Pierce; his great grandchildren, Jack Bowman and Mila Bowman; and his niece Diane Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
