He was predeceased by: his wife Sadie Wooten Lester; his parents, Polk Lester and Martha Loretta Coley Lester; his siblings, Kathrine Adams, Louise Farmer, Clara Johnson, Mildred Farmer, Betty Jean Lester, Fred Farmer, Babe Farmer and John Lester; and his grandson Reuben Fife.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Lester, Jr., Mike Lester (Rhonda), Larry Stamper (Valerie) of Summerville, GA, Keith Dillard (Jerri) of Naples, FL, Sandra Thurman (Vernon), Gail Adams (Aaron), Bobbie Lester (John), Patricia Jones of Summerville and Candy Dillard; his daughter-in-law Marva Lester of Naples, FL; his nephew Grady Farmer; his brothers, Albert Lester of Augusta, GA and Lee Lester of Chattanooga, TN; and his close friend Annie Martin. He is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren.
