We bid farewell to Edsel Thomas of Summerville, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2024 at the age of 80. Edsel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Thomas and Ruth Thomas of Fort Payne, Alabama.; and his brothers, Coralene Blake, Carlton Thomas and Delinda McDonald (Waylon "Cotton" Thomas).
He is survived by: his sister Mavis Maxey; his children, Rob, Tina and Rod; his granddaughters, Meagan Greer (Sean) and Emery Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Holden, Lane and August.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (3801 Gault Ave N, Fort Payne, AL 35967). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Glenwood Cemetery (1002 Grand Ave SW, Fort Payne, AL 35967).
