He was predeceased by: his parents, Taylor Leonard and Willie Mae Wofford Ash; his wife Lynda Sue Bedwell Ash; his children, Anthony Lynn Ash, Amanda Sue Ash and Sonya Payton; and his siblings, Horace Ash, Taylor Ash, Jr., Jeanette Thompson, JoAnn Cozzort and Helen Baggett.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Ash, Belinda Rinden and Rhonda Battle (Frank); and his siblings, Billy Wayne Ash, Bobbie Henry and Rebecca Price. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
