He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Devant Rush and Rush Highway; his sisters, Bertha and Blanche Rush; and his brother-in-law L. J. Wilson.
He is survived by: his friend Ernie Wofford; his wife Sandra Gail Rush of Baxley, Georgia.; his children, Teri Rush (Roger Lewis) and Randy Rush (Teresa); his siblings, Quinton Rush (Yvonne), David Rush (Jackie), Dianne Wilson and Gail Rush; and his grandchildren, Erin Mckenzie (Aaron), Dustin Rush (Charolette) and Emily Brock-Floyd (Tiffany). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donations be made to Hope Rebirth Homeless Shelter (50 Eleanor Street – Summerville, GA 30747) or to Gideon's International (P. O. Box 648 – Summerville, GA 30747).
