With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Harmon Petitt of Summerville, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Leon Petitt and Gaudie Mae Serritt Petitt; his granddaughter Holly Elizabeth Petitt; and his siblings, Vera Jeanette Thompson, Martha Bonnie Lee Higgins, Durward L. Petitt and John Wiley "Bob" Petitt.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Petitt; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Lorri "Itsy" Petitt; his brother Billy; his sister-in-law Jane Petitt; his sister Charlotte Ann; his brother-in-law Leon Dooley; his grandchildren, Will Tate (David Ritchie) of Atlanta, Amy Epps (Russell) of LaGrange and Lori Anna Tate (Mike Ficquett) of Appalachicola; and his great grandchildren, Rowdie Epps and Augustus "Gus" Epps. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home (12855 US-27, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home (12855 US-27, Summerville, GA 30747).
