He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Ervin Winters and Jessie Mae Fincher Winters; his wife Lois McCary Winters; his children, Sheila Winters and Terry Winters; and his siblings, Grady Winters, W. A. Winters, Raymond Winters, Evie Lee Holt, Mamie Carroll, Mary Studdard and Sarah Duckett.
He is survived by: his son Tim Winters (Kelli); his sisters, Hattie Dentmon and Marie Broyles; his siblings-in-law, Faye Winters and Cecil Studdard; his stepchildren, Wayne Morgan (Jane), David Morgan and Vickie Morgan Hughes (William); his grandchildren, Dennis Winters (Jennifer), Dale Winters (Mauri) and Crystal Nixon (Mark); and his stepgrandchildren, Kyle Hughes (Amanda), Tommy Morgan (Connie) and Cindy Morgan. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
