He was predeceased by: his parents, L. V. "Buck" and Velma Grigsby Dawson; and his granddaughter Jessica Lynn Norton. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Whaley Dawson; his daughters, Kristina Dawson and Anne Dawson; his grandchildren, Brody Boswell, Dawson Boswell, Molly Dawson and Kinsey Boswell; and his great grandchild Jaxson Gilstrap.
