It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Akins of Summerville, Georgia, born in Rockmart, Georgia, who passed away on July 6, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Doyl "Tom" Akins and Minnie Lee Godfrey Akins; and her siblings, Billy Akins and Nancy Holliday. She is survived by: her brother Tommy Akins; her nieces, Jessica Sanders Stiles and Bessie Hudson (David); her great-nieces, Braylee Watkins and Krissy Merva (Nick); her great-nephew Nick Gibbs (Brooke); and her close friends, Barbara Dodd (Glenn) and Holly Stahl.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
