He is survived by: his children, Billy Joe Stephenson, Bobby Joe Stephenson and Peggy Jane Smith; his stepchildren, Willie Deaver, Michael Deaver and Shari Ann Cooper; and his siblings, Leon Stephenson, Mary Womack, Peggy Glenn and Betty Tomlin. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
