Alferd is survived by: parent Louise Kent Thompson; and siblings, Lois Hanner, Candance Kent, Herman Thompson, Winifred Thompson, Calvin Kent, Alvin Kent, Francis Hudgins, Hubert Lofton, Cynthia Armstrong (Helen Williams) and Jesse Adams. Alferd is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
