With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Dobson of Sugar Valley, Georgia, born in Ranger, Georgia, who passed away on February 25, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Shirley and Lois Wofford Shirley; and her sisters, Virginia Shirley, Ruby Lee Shirley, Sara Elizabeth Shirley and Bobbie Jean Shirley.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bobby" Dobson; her children, Robert Anthony Dobson (Chellie), Mary Ann Hardin and Beverly Dobson Shaw; her siblings, Raymond Shirley, Bobby Shirley (Gennie), Patricia Brock (Barry), Betty John Shirley, Ruth Ann Shirley and Jean Nation (Bud); her grandchildren, Emily Lockard, Magan Lockard, Sara Lockard, Deborah Campbell, Cassi Cochran, Jordan Carter, Austin Hardin and Will Hardin; and her great grandchildren, Raelynn, Cole Cochran, Cason, Cade Carter, Aubree and Davis Campbell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The Dobson family along with the staff of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home remind everyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
