He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennings Abercrombie and Vanzie Grizzle Abercrombie; his siblings, Elbert Abercrombie, Hubert Abercrombie and Edna Grace Gregory; and his grandson Jeremy Head.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Abercrombie of Suches; his children, Beth Gordon (Ray) of Donaldsonville, Lynn Brown (Guy) of Murrayville, Rebecca Dover (Doug) of Gainesville, Adrian White (Rick Hughes) of Cleveland, Blairsville and Shannon Buell (Stanley) of Cumming; his sister Betty Marie McIntyre; and his friend Hobert Lunsford. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
