Thelma J. McGhie Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma J. McGhie (Stone Mountain, Georgia), who passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her father W. I.; and her daughters, Winsome and Janet. She is survived by: her mother Olga M. Morgan (Alan Andrade); her significant other Woodrow M. McGhie; her daughters, Rosalie and Judy; her grandchildren, Andrew, Suzanne, Richard, Natalie and Stephen; her great grandchildren, Asa, Matthew and Maxim; and her sister Betty. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Michael & All Angel's Episcopal Church (6740 James B. Rivers Drive, Stone Mountain 30083). On September 7, 2024 Thelma returned home with hospice care after a 3 week stay in Emory Hospital for Covid-19.
