It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elsie Platner Post of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dwight and Maedelle Jones Platner. She is survived by: her husband Jerry V. Post, Jr.; her children, William "Butch" Post (Carol) of Lavonia, GA, Antoinette "Toni" Hamilton (Whit) of Gainesville, GA and Tom Post (Danneice) of Fayetteville, GA.; and her grandchildren, Blair Stone (Ryan), Allison Post, Maggie Hamilton, Kathleen Naylor (Clay), Michael Post, Adelaide Wesolowski (Tyler) and Thomas Post. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Barnabas Anglican Church (4795 N Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338). A reception was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
